South Era Network is a digital news platform focused on delivering current affairs and news for young audiences across South Asia.

As a Producer and Reporter, I pitched, developed and reported two current affairs documentaries from the ground in India.

I reported from Bengaluru on the student-led CJP protests that erupted in 2026, following allegations of a major examination paper leak and demands for the resignation of the Education Minister. I covered the solidarity protests taking place across the country, speaking to students, organisers and people directly involved in the movement.

I also pitched and reported a documentary on the Bundelkhand water crisis and the displacement of Adivasi communities linked to one of India’s largest river interlinking projects. The film brought together perspectives from hydrologists, displaced communities and local stakeholders, while investigating questions around land, compensation and alleged irregularities in the government’s rehabilitation process. The project also looked at the wider implications of the river-linking model as a potential template for similar projects across India. Links below !
