Producer - Presenter
I worked as a Multimedia Producer with The Plate India on a range of projects focusing on Indian agriculture. Agriculture here can often feel grim, the image of an Indian farmer tied to bleak, hard-lived narratives. Sadly, that’s the larger truth in a country where 55% of the population depends on farming. At The Plate, our goal was to look deeper - to see how food actually makes its way to our plates. Below are some of my personal favourites from the field. Before you scroll — if you ever meet a farmer in India, take a few minutes to talk to them. You’ll likely walk away with a new perspective… and probably a bag of fresh produce. Be shameless - they love it!
Executive Producer & Presenter on a short documentary — a love letter to Indian Jasmine Sambac, a fragrant variety native to India and grown almost exclusively in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, in the country’s southern tip.
In this small South Indian town, jasmine isn’t just a flower — it’s an essential ingredient for the world’s luxury perfume industry, gracing the creations of houses like Dior and Chanel. This is the story of Indian jasmine: one of India’s highest-value floral exports, the cultural heart of Madurai, and the farmers whose hands make the magic inside those coveted bottles possible.
Producer & Presenter on this short documentary exploring the story of millionaire farmers in Rajasthan’s desert land. Rajasthan, an arid desert state in north-western India where resources are scarce, is home to farmers earning over ₹250 crore every year. The film follows their revolutionary use of polyhouse farming - a technique defying the region’s harsh climate and asks: how did they do it, and what can the rest of India learn from their success?
Most TV projects end up on my CV but this was the only project which contributed to direct impact in the farming community.
